Bovine Collagen Type I

BCol1-17

Product Description

Bovine Collagen Type I)is a natural biomaterial widely used in bioink formulations due to its excellent biocompatibility and ability to mimic the native extracellular matrix environment. This product is extracted and purified from cattle achilles tendon using enzymatic digestion under mild, low-temperature conditions, which helps preserve the natural structure and bioactivity of collagen. At higher concentrations (typically 5–10 mg/mL), the material can undergo self-assembly into a hydrogel at neutral pH and room temperature, forming a three-dimensional matrix suitable for cell culture and biofabrication. Due to these properties, bovine Type I collagen is commonly used in bioinks for 3D bioprinting, cell encapsulation, and tissue engineering applications, providing a supportive microenvironment that promotes cell adhesion, proliferation, and growth.
